In July of 1970 the 193rd Tactical Electronic Warfare Group started a deployment to Korat Royal Thai Air Base, Thailand to participate in an exercise named "Commando Buzz". For excellent performance in this exercise the 193rd was awarded the first of our 16 Air Force Outstanding Unit Awards and the first was received with a "Combat V Device" for Valor.

I joined the 193 rd in 1972, 2years later.I got out of the Air Force in 1966.Did a 90 day TDY to Mactan Island in the Philipines in direct support of the Vietnam war.Just some Info.
