September 3, 2015

– Call to Order:

Bill Shupp called the meeting to order at 17:10 hours

A motion was made by John Seitz, second by Tony Powell to approve the past months board minutes.

Financial Report- Dennis Walborn
A complete report was provided to each member for their review

Financial Secretary’s Report:
Explained how the CFC donations had an impact on taxes from last year with the determination of them being either a single or multiple donations.
7773 project – Funding the ne plaque with balance in that fund which should zero out the account.
C121 fund income – $200.00, Linglestown American Legiondonation received – $1800.00

VP report:
Thanks to all that helped with the scholarship program. There were seven submissions.
Advisor:
Thanks again to the Hershey Free Church for the wonderful meal, fellowship and use of a room for our meeting in August.
Old Business/Committee reports:
Merchandise Sales/Fund Raising – Shirts are online and can be purchased from Graywater Ops. Will link to their page on the Facebook page and work on getting it on our web site.

i.     There will be a 5K in Annville to benefit the Salute to Troops and the Annville Memorial Day parade and Wounded Warriors. Parade date is 7 November

ii.     Can the info about the Amazon.Smile program be published to the Wing bulletin board and pushed to the Facebook page? Will keep pushing info to unit members.

iii.     Children’s Christmas party is coming up on 13 December (UTA) in the DFAC. Decorating will take place on 15 November (UTA).

iv.     Deployments are coming up and will need help with any issues that come up during that time with families. Looking for people that can provide support to those families.

Around the Room:
Tony Powell – The Right Start members are not eligible for uniforms and Wing Leadership is asking the Association to fund T-Shirts that can be given to them in order to give them a uniform appearance. Dave will get with GrayWater Ops for information, pricing and timing on getting shirts made.

The next Board of Directors meeting will be Thursday October 1, 2015, 1700 at the RSG Headquarters Conference room

Association Annual Membership Meeting

The 193rd SOW Association is hosting their Annual Membership Meeting on Saturday April 14th at 1500 in the dining facility. All members of the Association and anyone interested in learning about the Association are welcome to attend.

Voting will take place at the meeting to elect new board members. You must be a current member of the Association to vote. Membership applications will be available for anyone interested in joining.

Association clothing items will be available for purchase.

Refreshments will be served.

Information about Retiree’s Day, scheduled for Wed. May 9, will be given during this meeting.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Board of Directors elect new Officers

At their 3 June meeting, the 193rd SOW Association Board of Directors elected it’s officers for the 2010/2011 year, they are as follows: President- Barry Frey, Vice President- Rick Shirk, Past President- Bill Shupp, Treasurer- Dennis Walborn, Financial Secretary- Randy Eckert, and Recording Secretary Kathleen Garrity.
